My priorities for ward 14
Councillor Accessibility
Open, effective communication is essential to the well-being of Ward 14. Whether it’s a small pothole or a major concern like the lack of city-run recreation facilities, no issue is too minor or too large for my attention. As your councilor, I will be accessible, responsive, and committed to addressing the concerns that matter to you.
Repealing the Blanket rezoning
Last summer’s blanket rezoning decision was pushed through without properly addressing the concerns of Ward 14 residents—many of whom live in well-established, closely-knit neighborhoods. As your councilor, I will advocate to repeal this one-size-fits-all policy and push for more reasonable, community-driven solutions that reflect the unique character and needs of each neighborhood. Meeting Calgary’s housing demand is important—but it must be done in a way that respects existing communities and includes them in the process.
Public Safety
Calgarians deserve a safe city and reliable transit. I’ll push for stronger fare enforcement, more Transit Peace Officers, and a serious look at fare gates to restore order. Our police need better support to enforce laws and address repeat offenders. On issues like homelessness and addiction, I’ll advocate for real solutions—working with the province to expand treatment, improve shelter options, and support community safety.
Infrastructure that works
Calgarians deserve reliable infrastructure that supports daily life. As your Ward 14 councillor, I’ll prioritize fixing our deteriorating roads, upgrading aging water pipes, and improving snow removal services. It’s time for a proactive, efficient approach that keeps our streets safe, our water flowing, and our city moving—year-round.
